Welcome to PalFest: an annual cultural roadshow, touring around Palestine.
Because of the difficulties Palestinians face under military occupation in traveling around their own country, the Festival travels to its audiences. In 2009 it toured to Jenin, to al-Khalil/Hebron, to Ramallah and to Bethlehem. To celebrate its year as Cultural Capital of the Arab World, the festival began and ended in Jerusalem.
PalFest aims to bring world class cultural events to Palestinian cities; to give Palestinian students access to some of the finest authors working in English today, and to create a forum for the exchange of ideas and stories between Western and Palestinian writers, readers and students.
And for audiences we haven't yet reached, there are several ways to connect with the festival: author blogs, videos, twitter updates - check them out on our Connect page.
