Yara Hawari

Dr. Yara Hawari is a writer and political analyst. She completed her PhD in Middle East Politics at the University of Exeter in 2017 where her academic work focused on indigenous studies and oral history. Yara currently works as the Senior Analyst of Al-Shabaka: The Palestinian Policy Network and she is also a frequent political commentator writing for various media outlets including The Guardian, Foreign Policy, and Al Jazeera English. In 2021 she published her debut novella, The Stone House (Hajar Press) and she is also the host of the podcast "Rethinking Palestine".
